This secluded, hand crafted log home is built in the Great Camp tradition with 200 ft. of private lakefront. It is beautifully decorated and furnished with Adirondack rustic decor and includes antiques and original art work. The main floor has a huge Great Room facing the lake with a stone fireplace and an authentic Guide Boat suspended from the Cathedral ceiling. There is a well equipped kitchen with an auto drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, toaster oven & microwave as well as extensive glassware. The formal dining room overlooks the Lake, and there are 2 first floor bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with a trundle bed, [ a twin with a 2nd twin underneath], plus a full bath. In addition, there's a fully enclosed, outdoor hot shower as well as a Washer & Dryer in a separate outbuilding. The second floor has a Loft area/Landing with two twin beds and additional bedrooms are at each end. The MBR has a Queen size bed and the other has two twins. There is also a sleep sofa in the living room. The house uses lake water and a supply of bottled water is provided. Weekly trash pick-up is also provided.
In front of the house is a patio area
with a gas grill plus a side deck off the living room. The house is in
Valentine Park on the South end of Friends Lake. It has beautiful
views across to a large undeveloped section of Friends Lake, facing
West with afternoon sun and sunsets. There's no shallow beach
area--swimming is off the dock, and use of a rowboat & canoe (plus
paddles/oars & life vests) are included. There's also a large sundeck
overlooking the lake with and a substantial dock that's large and
stable for fishing and sitting . |
